Today, I fished a daphnid out of my culture of pond water. When I saw it with my naked eye, I thought it was a bug. Then, when I first saw it through the microscope, I thought it was a protozoan awaking from a cyst because it was all curled up in a ball! I saw something moving inside. Then it started to come out. When it got out, it started moving around like crazy in its micropond!

that’s not the heart beating…the heart is a tiny thing on it#s chest beating several times a second it looks like it’s vibrating instead of beating.
